About this item
Heritage Handloom from Balaramapuram, Kerala
Celebrate the timeless elegance of Kerala’s weaving heritage with this Pure Balaramapuram Handloom Kasavu Set Mundu, meticulously handcrafted by skilled artisans from the historic weaving village of Balaramapuram, Kerala. Renowned for its authenticity, purity, and exceptional craftsmanship, every Set Mundu represents generations of weaving excellence preserved through the traditional Kuzhithari (Pit Loom) technique.
This authentic Set Mundu is woven in our own weaving unit in Balaramapuram, where master artisans continue to preserve Kerala’s centuries-old handloom legacy with dedication, precision, and uncompromising quality.
The ensemble showcases a grand gold Kasavu (Zari) pallu beautifully enriched with multiple finely woven zari stripes and elegant deep maroon line detailing, creating a striking visual contrast against the pristine off-white handloom cotton. The harmonious blend of radiant gold kasavu and rich maroon accents lends this Set Mundu an exceptionally sophisticated and regal appearance.
Complementing the luxurious pallu is a classic Kasavu border, thoughtfully enhanced with refined maroon stripes and delicate zari lines that continue seamlessly throughout the design. The balanced proportions and meticulous detailing reflect the understated grandeur that defines authentic Balaramapuram handloom.
The Set Mundu is paired with a matching traditional blouse piece, completing the ensemble with timeless elegance. Woven from premium handloom cotton, the fabric is naturally soft, breathable, lightweight, and comfortable, ensuring a graceful drape suitable for every special occasion.
Ideal for Onam, Vishu, temple visits, weddings, cultural celebrations, and traditional ceremonies, this exquisite Set Mundu embodies Kerala’s rich textile heritage while appealing to the refined tastes of the modern woman.
